61. COMMAND AND GENERAL STAFF (S-420)
This all risk five-day course is designed to prepare the student to function effectively in the position of incident commander, general staff or command staff. The focus of this course is on the application of previously acquired prerequisite knowledge and skills. Students will participate as team and functional groups during exercises. These exercises include a simulation of the mobilization, management and demobilization phases of a rapidly accelerating incident that has the potential to become a major event.

Objectives

  • Students will perform the duties and responsibilities of their respective positions as team members on a type 2 incident.
