54. Standards for Survival (S-132)  
This course is utilized as an instructor reference for Firefighter Training, S-190, Unit 11. It is used primarily for inexperienced firefighters, but can be modified to a 3-4 hour review course for veteran firefighters. Emphasis is on avoiding situations and conditions which have caused fire shelter deployments, serious injuries and fatalities.

Objectives:

  • List and describe the “Ten Standard Firefighting Orders and 18 Situations that Shout: Watch Out.”
